Too many times we run into BUSINESS clients that have neither installed. Yes I said Business clients.
Internet Surfing becomes more dangerous all of the time. Website offers look too good to be true and people click on them. Emails trick you to look like the real thing, but are not. If you cannot afford the other security options, there are free antivirus/malware programs to protect you such as Avast, AVG, or Malwarebytes. Also check your Windows Firewall to ensure it is on. Another great option would be to browse the internet with faster, less vulnerable browsers such as Firefox or Google Chrome.
Backup: You take photos, you create documents, resumes, etc.
Ask yourself this: How important are these items to you? To the majority, these are items we NEVER want to lose.
Now ask yourself this: Do I have these items located on something else besides my primary hard drive?
If YES, good job.
If NO, it's time to consider a backup plan. From Online backup sites, USB Keys, to portable hard drives, the time is now to backup your important data. A hard drive failure could happen at any time: are you prepared to restore your memories, documents/financial docs?
